inspired by kj + chopped hair

shirt: Velvet Torch (similar)     //     pants: free press (similar)     //     shoes: Catherine Maladrino (similar)     //     bandana: Madewell     //     sunglasses: maurices

Surprise!! I chopped all my hair off, hehe. And I am pretty excited about it because I have been wanting to go this short for quite a while, but have been way too scared. Even in the chair I was telling the girl to “maybe just go below my shoulders,” but in the end I decided to just go for it. I went a lot lighter as well (which took forever, I was there for 4 hours 😳) and I think it is so so pretty and I’m thrilled to have a bit of a change.

On to the outfit, which all cost under $100 (whaaat) and is inspired by Kendall Jenner (you can see my inspirations here and here). She is my favorite of all the Kardashian/Jenner clan and I absolutely love her chic style. Everything I got is from Nordstrom Rack (except the bandana and sunnies), and my total was $93, which even included another shirt for an upcoming look. Isn’t that insane??? I usually spend that much on just one item for a post so I was pretty excited about it. Unfortunately it’s all in-store only so I wasn’t able to link the exact pieces. That is the trade-off for shopping at Nordstrom Rack, it is a lot harder to find the same items online 🙁

One of my New Year’s resolutions this year is to put even more into my blog: more posts, better content and be more transparent in my posts. It was really nerve wracking for me to start this little blog of mine and start sharing my life so freely on the internet for anyone to see. You would think the issue would be because of strangers, but I was only worried about the people that I know. Most of the people my age are still in high school, a place where I think everyone feels a little extra insecure. Once I made the choice to leave my old school, I instantly felt freed of this judgement, and I’m still not sure why I momentarily put any thought or cared what those, or any other people thought. I think that in order to be largely successful you need to be able to look past people’s criticisms (which I sometimes struggle with) and be your own person. It is such a wonderful privilege to be able to follow your dreams, and I encourage you all take advantage of it without concern of the opinions of others.

I wish you all the best, most loveliest week. Eat lots of healthy food, drink plenty of water, kill your workouts, work hard at work and I will see all here next Monday ♡
