wanderings in wonderland

dress: free people     //     sunnies: BP. (similar)     //     shoes: Steve Madden     //     floppy hat: Target

Happy Memorial Day everyone! I hope you’ve all had a safe and fun-filled weekend.. as I have! Finally finally made it somewhere I’ve been dying to go for quite awhile: Berridge Nurseries! I’ve made it my new mission to find all the cutest flower shops/gardens anywhere I go because I find them oh so magical. My first installment was a huge success, I will definitely be returning. Plus! It juuuuust so happens to be conveniently located right next to my favorite shopping center. Coincidence? I think not.

How cute is this dress? I bought it to take to San Diego, and I did wear it there but didn’t get enough pictures for an entire dedicated blog post (you can spot me wearing it in the polaroids)! Which ended up working in my favor because it is too perfect for this pretty location. Definitely size down if you’re thinking about ordering, I got a size small and had to pin it in the back and tape it up because the stretchy part was way too big for me. If you don’t mind that, then it is the most perfect summery dress ever, I am obsessed!

I have a kind of funny (not so funny at the time) fun fact to share with you: all these photos were taken on my iPhone. 😳. I know. My posts take quiiiiite a bit of time: planning (outfit, location), getting ready, and actually driving there. I had my camera, accessories, spare shoes and everything all set to go, but as soon as we pulled up I realized that I left my camera battery at home! I put it on the charger earlier that day, didn’t forget to take it off but never actually put it back in the camera. Oops. I was devastated! But we decided to try to make it work and use my iPhone which ended up working really well! Happy camper over here. Or blogger I should say 😉 .

I quickly have to tell you guys about my new ice cream obsession! When I first switched over to non-dairy diet about a year and a half ago, ice cream was one of the more difficult things for me to give up. I was stuck on Ben & Jerry’s almond milk ice creams for a while but as time went on, my cravings for ice cream (and most refined sugar sweets) went away. So I stopped eating the sugar-ladden pints and tend to go for healthier options. Buuuut this weekend I went to Nektar Juice Bar and discovered the best of both worlds: their new scoops! Not only do they taste SO GOOD they are dairy, soy, refined sugar and preservative free! Just thought I would share for all you who are dairy free, or are looking for a healthier and just as delicious alternative to regular ice cream. Definitely going to be my go-to this summer, and if you’re looking to earn some brownie points feel free to bring me some 😉 .

Next Monday I am sharing my best kept barista secrets with you: my recipes for citrus mint cold brew and cherry orange Italian soda! I accidentally sent out the photos to all my subscribers last week when I was pre-uploading photos. Oopsies! I got a little ahead of myself because I just cannot wait for you to try them, hehe. They really are that good!! Until then, wishing you all a lovely week! ♡
