official launch of neaux.co
Okay, who’s excited?! I have been working sooo hard on this, counting down the days and it’s finally here!! From the beginning stages, I’ve spent countless hours searching and perfecting to make the highest quality product for you. Both stylish and versatile, unique and sustainable, the only rivals to these masterpieces (yes I went there) are from Hermes. $395 vs. $39? I’ll let you decide who the real winner is here. 😉
Being the perfectionist that I am, my search for excellence started in the very beginning. I scoured the internet and sorted through tons of companies to find unique prints made from only fair trade and sustainable materials. This part in particular was very important to me: I did not want to support an inhumane business. Many foreign textile workers are subject to harsh and unregulated conditions. These sweatshops still run due to the support of big companies looking for the highest profit, which translates to underpaid workers and unsafe work conditions. Despite some negative encounters, I persevered and finally found a company that represented all of my choice ideals. The company that I chose is fair trade, prints in the USA, and supports local artists.
Looking at my fabric choices, I sought out the smoothest, most lustrous and effortlessly drapeable material I could find. Dozens of samples, drape and wear tests later, I finally landed on one. Silk faille, which is what all my scarves are made from, fits the bill perfectly. And is also one of the most sustainable fabrics!
For my first collection I wanted to go classic, effortless and in colors that go with everything. An extra dose of summer (how could I say resist?) comes in the form of mickylee, our limited print.
The next factor is another one that truly sets these apart from all others: the size! I mentioned last week that I love these scarves when I see them in stores, but the small size makes them too impractical. Something that I felt could be improved, and that’s exactly what I did! The larger size allows them to be able to be worn in hair, tied on your handbag as well as around your neck. But still not too much that you are drowning in fabric (or dying of heat like you would be in Arizona) and still modern. Basically these babies eliminate the need for 3 separate accessories as it easily changes with your look. Which you know I am allllll about!!
The breakdown: Hand sewn. Sustainably sourced. 25x25in. 100% silk faille. After all the hard work I put in, I can truly say that I am so proud to put my name on this product, and hope that you love it as much as I enjoyed creating it. I have a feeling that you will. 🙂
Thank you guys a million times over for all of your support and love. See the links for more photos, and let me know what print is your favorite! Brooke Paige
