sedona day trip
Hello my lovelies!! I hope you all had a beautiful weekend. Arizona decided that it’s going to be summer now (much to my dismay), so I’ve just been over here trying to stay cool while mourning the loss of our nice weather. Luckily I was able to escape the harsh heat (90’s already 😩) while visiting Sedona for the first time last week. The weather was still a bit warm but the scenery was beautiful and it was so nice to get away with my girls.
Our first stop was at Amitabha Stupa, a quiet little “peace park”. There was a short hike up to the area, and when we got there tons of people were meditating. I was really not expecting that since we were the only ones on the trail and we weren’t exactly being quiet coming up so hopefully we didn’t disrupt anyone!! The park was really close to the mountains which were so pretty and reminded me a lot of St. George, one of my favorite places to visit. When you are surrounded by desert all the time, mountains and greenery are just sooo exciting!
After that we went to Chocola Tree, a vegetarian restaurant that had lots of vegan options, to get some lunch! The seating area was absolutely gorgeous, surrounded by flowers and trees (should’ve taken more photos 🙁 ), definitely the coolest part of the entire place. The food was kind of underwhelming, probably because the restaurant itself had my expectations soaring. But it was a nice lunch and I love that my friends are into health food like me.
Lastly we visited one of the more touristy areas of Sedona which had lots of cute shops. Here I picked up the only thing I bought in Sedona (besides lunch): vitamins for my dog, hehe. Our time was cut short because we had to be back for a work meeting but the whole trip was so much fun! Love love love my cute friends.
I decided that I needed more pictures of my outfit for this post, so on Saturday I put on the same clothes to take more which didn’t really end up happening. First of all, the shorts are different. I got a new pair for this post which I had laying on my bed the night before I went to Sedona. This night I started missing Darla so I tried to take her out of her cage to sleep with me which she was not having, and just went right back in her cage (*cries*). Since she wouldn’t cuddle I just left the door open on her kennel and held her little paw (stage 5 clinger right here). She will usually whine to go to the bathroom in the night but since the door was open she just wandered right out and peed right on my new shorts. I couldn’t be too mad since I was the one who left her cage open and I definitely learned my lesson. After they were washed, I wore them to take more pictures but you guys it was so. hot. After being in the park for an hour just sitting and talking, I couldn’t stand the idea of standing in the sun, I only wanted a ton of water and some AC. So that’s why I only have a few pictures! I can already tell that it is going to be a loooong summer ahhh.
Hope you guys have a great week I will see you next Monday! ♡♡♡
